Hi I have a Pioneer DVR-105 DVD-RW that came with a medion (Aldi) pc a few years ago and seems to have packed in now. So i am just wondering is it ok to pick up any cheap dvd-rw that i can get on e-bay for £20? I will be using Roxio Easy media Creator 9 to do my editing burning etc. Will they all be compatible or is there a specific type I should be looking for?

Also I get the feeling that my current one is not working because something has been disabled etc, I have reinstalled the drive but to no effect, there are no errors coming up on the properties and it says it is working correctly, but it isn't. Is there any software that can be downloaded to do a check for me? I was going to update the driver but I read somewhere that if u bought through Aldi it wouldn't work so that's why i'm asking the original question, will any dvd-rw work? I'm not interested in the speed really and I wont be using it very often,
