I was thinking about buying a blu-ray/hd dvd drive since my 360 and ps3 are broke and was wondering if they are (or can be made) region free?

I am looking to get this one:

or the blu-ray reader version and was wondering if it was region free or like DVD drives where you could swap the region a certain number of times?

If it is the latter does anyone know if there is a way to make it region free?

You could run AnyDVD HD in the background which will solve region issues.
The regions are A, B and C.
