Compress the movie with DVD Shrink as far as it goes, then open the compressed movie again in DVD Shrink and compress again. It should fit one disc then, but the you might end up with rather bad quality on the movie.
Or you could just split the movie onto two discs.
That may be your problem. You should get rid of the extras and features as they arent needed since it is only a back-up. If you are worried, put it on to two discs. There is not point in trying to overcompress it as the quality will be useless.
Quote:if i compress the films twice will it be terrible to watch ?
The second run will not affect the quality as much as the first run, but there's no way of knowing without trying. It depends totally on the movie, it's length, type of movie etc...
Quote:I don't want tp strip anything out as everything origianlly fitted on one disc
the original was a DVD-9 that can store about 9G or so, your copy will only hold 4.38G. Thus if there's anything you can rid off (some boring commentary tracks, chinese dubs, or hebrew subtitles), anything will help make the movie fit one disc.
