I tried looking up on YouTube and on these forums for a fix, they all say to go into the recovery menu and turn no-umd on (did that), and to change the kernel to 1.5 (did that) but I'm still getting this error =(

Using 4.01 m33-2 btw, any help would be appreciated :D

Trying to run ISO's.. I tried Final Fantasy IX as well as Legend of Dragoon (disk 1 on both).

Putting the file in the /game/ directory on the psp.

EDIT: Putting the file in the FOLDER in the /game/ directory.

okay ... let me guess. you download the ps1 games rite?
you need to convert them so the psp can read them

Get the ISO image and convert it. THen put it in the game folder. Make sure you got the popsloader

you said you were trying to run ISO ? PSX games come in eboot.pbp file. Not ISO file.

To run PSX games, you need to put them into a GAME folder or GAME4XX folder. Change the kernal to 4.01 and install popsloader.

EDIT: and yes, I have heard about this error, u can do a little background on me if you want

Yeah, I've been using PSX2PSP to convert the ISO images to the eboot.pbp I just changed the kernal to 4.xx, from 1.50 and it still did the same error message. I have no-umd selected with the Sony driver. I have popsloader installed on the psp, one time I tried the game and it did some funky popsloader stuff, I hit x and it just went back to the error.

And I keep hearing about this GAME4XX folder or w/e but I've never actually seen this on my psp, am I supposed to create it?

I don't get it! =( I've tried everything, should I downgrade to 3.71 m33-2 or something? I looked that up and I found downgrading would be pointless so I'm kinda unsure of whats going on at this point.

Also, I'm not downloading these, I'm ripping them from my actual playstation disks to an iso, from the iso to eboot.pbp through PSX2PSP...

Yeah i think bbaby is right, i had this problem when i accidentally deleted the keys.bin file in my POPstations file directory.

because popstation will create an eboot with out needing the keys.bin file it easy to assume you wouldnt need the file.

if thats the cause u'll have to torrent a psx game for psp and steal its keys.bin, which is illegal of course.

but once you have them put both files into one folder and then place that folder in you GAME401 folder.
any keys.bin file will work.

and yes you may not have the folders people or talking about if you didnt format you memory stick once you have a CFW, so you'll have to create them.
