hi, i've only just updated my psp from 3.40-OE to m33 3.90-3 as there have been a few new games which have made me pick up my psp again, but i've run into a problem.

I've put the new final fantasy game (cso) on my psp, and for some reason it doesn't seem to load - loading only into a black screen (not freeze). I've played other games in the past (i.e. final fantasy tactics) which all work.

I've done a bit of research - tried to put the driver to the sony one, and i've also put the cpu speeds to 330 and they still dont work.

please help!

it's probably a bad rip. i've used the original japanese and UNDUB versions on 3.90 m33-3 with no problems.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

i think the rip seems fine, when i select the game from the main psp menu -> under memory card, it still shows the animation and loads the details of the game.

I'm probally missing something in the settings, like forgetting to turn something off or something like that. please help!

try converting it back to a iso see if that helps

or see if it takes a while for the game to start e.g leave it for about 5 min and then see if it loads it may be that all the movies have been ripped out so theres not start movie (though it should start the game instantly)

if that doesnt work then go to recovery mode and then go to advanced and then advanced configurations and make sure both the options are disabled

if that doesnt work then bad rip is the old explenation bad rips can still show up on the psp but wont play iv had it before with 1 or 2 games
