Okay this may be a little long but please bear with me.
Hi, I have a ps2 with a modchip and am experiencing extreme difficulty in burning games for it. No one is helping me and I've asked questions on youtube and yahooanswers on why it's not working and got no solutions whatsoever. I've done exactly what I've seen in those videos and sometimes read here but nothing happens.
I know this modchip works because a friend burned some games for me and they work perfectly fine, when I try to do it, I get either "disk read error" or the browser screen that identifies the burned disk as a "playstation 2" disk, but when I click on it, the screen goes black then back to the browser screen.
I have downloaded an iso using utorrent and I downloaded "Soul Calibur 3" (US Verison for my US Playstation). When I opened up the folder I didn't have to extract any parts because it was already done and I had the Soul Calibur .iso file. I then opened Nero went to "burn data disk" then went to "image, project, copy" clicked on "disk image or saved project" chose my iso. On the next screen I was unable to choose anything at all, all that I could click on was "image recorder" and then clicked burn. I used a SonyDVD+R I then tried this again with a Memorex DVD-R. NO LUCK.
I then tried the other program, "Ashampoo Burning Studio" clicked on "create/burn disk image" then to "burn a CD/DVD/Blu-Ray disk from a disk image" chose my .iso file, clicked next and I put in my 2 dvds (dvd-r and dvd+r) inserted and reinserted the disks and it keeps saying "no CD in the drive" So that option was dead..
I then tried IMGburn but the .iso won't allow me to click on the bottom burn icon. So that option was also dead..
Before I tried all of this I had downloaded numerous psx files with extensions such as .ccd and .cue from Utorrent and RomHustler.com , I tried all these files with Alcohol 120% then clicked on img burning wizard selected my file clicked next clicked 4x as the speed and playstation on the bottom, then burn. I used CD-R and CD-RW These games only show up as "ps2" on my browser but do not play. I then tried IMGBurn, with no luck after using the same method to burn, when I put these disks in my playstation I get "Disk Read Error"
I've been trying for over a month with no luck watching youtube videos and reading about it, I even tried using my dell laptop instead of my regular dell computer to see if something was wrong with the computer. But nothing. I must've wasted over 20 dvds and cds trying these things. Can someone please please please help me? I've been going crazy over it.

Nevermind anymore, I decided to pull out my last resort- My Sony Vaio computer and everything works perfectly fine and I've got some great ps2 games now!
