Hey guys. I'm really hoping someone can help me. I bought M3 DS real. I did everything to get it up and running. I tested 2 backups on it and it worked with no problem. Since it was good to go, I loaded it with a few more backups. The DSL turned on and then shut down. It will NOT turn back on. I tried both different functional batteries and ac adpaters and they do not work either. I also tried my battery and ac adapter on other peoples DSL's and they worked fine.
The only thing that happens is the red/orange light comes on when i plug it on the charger for about 1 second and then thats it. I opened it up and the fuses look ok. I tried the bridging the SL1 also, and it still does nothing. The DS is brand new, but I bought it on E-Bay so I cant return it anywhere. Please help me out if you can , I dont know what else to do. from what you describe, sounds like a blown fuse according to this article http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=94191 heres a extract

If you have blown a fuse and wish to test the DS bridging the fuse will leave you no worse off, however I agree with the above I would not leave it this way as one thing that can cause the fuse to blow is a fault on the top screen (quite common)But replacement fuses are standard surface mount 603 style 500ma (RS type suppliers offer 10 for £1.80)
