Final Fantasy IV freezes with R4

On the waterway entrance random counters, the game just freezes with double white screens, I tried running it in many Kernel versions, what should i do?

i have this game on supercard ds one and its working fine so far. maybe your R4 needs a new firmware? afterall, the ff4 is very new.

All the games work fine and i tried 1.18(latest), 1.17, 1.08, 1.14 and they all freeze at the same place.

its means the R4 firmware is not capable of running the ff4 game until team R4 release an update. just like other new game releases.

Did you delete:
_system_ folder
moonshl folder
_DS_MENU.dat file
_DS_MSHL.nds file

before you transfered the new one to the system? I only started up the game and when I have time I'll play it more but maybe you have old files in there that are conflicting with your game. Just a guess... hope that helps!

Strange, I'm running 1.15 and had no issues with the waterway entrance... Game seems to work fine, even the R4 wiki says it works.
