I am looking to try to build my first PC. I don't even know where to start. Can someone provided me with a list of parts I would need to get?
Thanks

I really don't have a budget right now. I am just thinking about trying to build one soon and I don't even know what I need to build one. I would like to be able to play games on it, use multi media, and of course use it for school.

Well don't in future please, it's confusing when you respond in as many threads as I do... :P
Budgets for gaming PCs are very variable getbigg, some people can only spend $500 or so and get a reasonable system, others are happy to spend a couple of thousand to get something very powerful, sometimes you get extremes that take it even further beyond that. At least a rough estimate? I could be barking up the wrong tree otherwise. it'll also be useful to know what country you're from so I can find a good store to recommend you get the parts from.

Okay lets say that I have $1000 to spend on the PC, monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
I am located in Arizona. Thanks!

Okay sounds good. Is there a step by step guide on that link?
Also if I would decided not to go with the monitor, but hook this up to my Samsung 50 inch Plasma, would all of this stuff work on it?

It would yes, but despite its size, be advised Plasma screens do have a significantly lower resolution than PC monitors (1024x768 pixels for a Plasma, 1680x1050 pixels for an LCD) - however, it's far from an unpleasant experience, just a bit low-res...

if it's 1080p, it's LCD not Plasma. Plasmas have only ever been 1024x768 to my knowledge. If it is a 1080p LCD, epic, that will make a fabulous PC screen.

Plasmas used to be 1024x768, until the 768 and 1080p Plasmas came about recently, both the sizes you listed were LCDs. Mad when you think about it since Plasmas are widescreen...
