problem using psxloader for psx backups

All psxloader launches ok for me, but when i remove the exploit disc and install an original psx disc, i get "not an original psx disc" error. I have used 2 different discs - Toy Story 2 and Resident Evil. I get same results. What am I doing wrong ?

Are you swapping discs using a slide tool? My Ps2 is too old to run the program, but I'm pretty sure you need to use a slide tool to change discs if you want to get it to work. Another possibility is that the TOC of the original disc is smaller than the TOC of the backup.

No, I have a slim that's modded with magic keys. And I don't understand why the TOC is relevant here, because I can't get to the step of installing the backup, so how would the ps2 know what the TOC of the backup is ? It doesn't even try to read the original disc.
