Hi all, does anyone know if there is any way to save state on a ps2.

What do you mean "save state"

The PS2 creates a system configuration file when it boots up. If it is deleted it just creates a new one again.

If you have a cheat disk that can copy saves, or you have a way to boot uLaunch then yes you can copy it.

Is that what you mean?

No I mean like on emulators where you can save the exact state of the game and reload it up in exactly the same position.

In Pcsx2 click on FILE, then you will see STATE, then LOAD or SAVE in Slot 1 etc.

Been awhile since I used the emulator, but that should be correct.

no i mean can i save the state on an actual ps2 just like i would on an emulator?

No unless you are using a cheat disk and the code allows you to save your progress anywhere. Not all of them do though.
