Unfortunatly it doesn't look like my stand alone will play dvd+r (although it's fine with dvd+rw). So I have tried to change the book type/ bit setting but have had no luck. Is this because the pioneer 106 cannot change the book type to dvd-rom? Can anyone help as it's driving me mad. The dvd+r will play fine on my pc. I am using the latest firmware 1.07 that came with my writer.
