Power switch not working, PS2 not turning on?

I took apart the fat PS2 to clean the lens for the first time, somehow I also messed the power switch, the one located on the left side of the fan. Everything is back together but now nothing will light up or power up at all. I think something is out of place, I took apart most of the system just fooling around with it. The ribbon is connected to the 2 front buttons so I don't think that's the problem.

Here's a picture of the part I'm talking about, if you need me to post pics of my own I can do that.

Well it was working fine before I took it apart. The power cable and adaptor were plugged in correctly, it just feels like that power switch part is loose.

check the big round fuse attached to the motherboard, is it in place properly, hold it up to the light to see if it is melted,
