of course my pc had been working fine, but on day it began turning on and off by itself...now it's gotten to the point where when i turn it on, the power light comes on, but the monitor wont read the computer and will just stay idle...the computer's power light comes on when it starts up, but then goes dark (however, pc stays on with fans still blowing)....i don't know if this is a hardware power issue or what...first i thought the hard drive was going out on me, but that was until the computer wouldn't even start up...any ideas? thanks

look at the silver topped can shaped objects on the motherboard which are capacitors, are any of them domed or leaking brown stuff thru the top? have you tried another power supply?
