I have a bunch of wav files that I would like to put together into one file. That is to say that I have one wav file for each channel, and I would like to put them into some kind of format that will package them all in ONE file, and still be able to play back on a windows-based audio player like itunes, winamp, or VLC. Winamp is preferred. I don't care whether it's lossless or lossy.. but if it's lossy, I need to have some degree of control over the audio quality.
Finally, the resulting file needs to be able to play back TRUE 5.1 sound.
So, are there any file formats that would support this, and if so, are there any free audio muxers that would allow me to join my 6 wav files into one 5.1 file?
