Are you handy with a soldering iron? If so, you can add in an IDE connector to use IDE hard drives on your PlayStation 2. Trust me on this one: you'll be better off that way, as playing games through USB sucks. The load times are extended, compatibility seems problematic, streamed videos/music/sound effects skip or sometimes cut out completely, it's a mess. I'll have to find you the link to the guide that shows you how you can add in an IDE connector to your PlayStation 2(once you've told me you're good with a soldering iron that is. I warn ya, though, the solder joints inside the PlayStation 2 are MINUSCULE, so you'd need a really good magnifying glass to be able to see the solder joints properly).
