DVD9 GOW2 Backup Question

So I want to backup my copy of God of War II. I have swap magic 3.6, which I hear doesn't work with DVD9 games, which is a shame because it seems that a bunch of good games are DVD9.
I know about the kits that can downsize the game so it fits on a DVD9 but I was under the impression that this would take out content from some of the movies in the game, and so I don't really want to do that.

Is there some way to get a backup of the full game version to play without getting a modchip for my console (just want to stick with swapmagic 3.6)? Maybe with a hard drive or something?

Yup. You can put it on a hard drive but im pretty sure that the software hasnt been updated to read it. Im not sure youd have to check on that. And for the swap magic just make it a dvd 5. Thats what i did with mine and i have all the movies and everything. Im pretty sure i used a tutorial on this site so do a little searching :)
