i bought a 100 pack of taiyo yuden from supermedia .com 8 x dvd - r for 32.00 . are these good dvd'r to use , the only thing i see first is that these ty's always look really dusty as thery show every dust particule . i am wanting something that will last . thanks for any help .

Taiyo Yuden is some of the most respected media out there. See if they code out as TY02 or TY03, I think they will be TY02.

Taiyo Yuden is absolutely the way to go. It's the best blank media available.

You'll be happy with them.

Oh TY's are CRAP!!! I wouldn't ever use them. I prefer CMC MAG stuff!!! It always burns for me and I get excellent scans with it every time!!! :P

Nah.... I'm just kidding... hehehe. Here's the doc's thread..... Just read the first couple of posts I would guess. If you have any questions there's always this thread or even some others for asking media questions. ;)

btw TYG02 (8x DVD-R) are pretty good discs. I would rank the TY products I've used as such. :)

YUDEN T02 (8x DVD+R)
TYG01 (4x DVD-R)
TYG02 (8x DVD-R)
TYG03 (16x DVD-R)

YUDEN T03's (DVD+R 16x) fit in there somewhere but I've never used any that I remember. I have a couple of discs but can't seem to remember where they are. lol. :P
