k so this morning i was playing an MMORPG when a storm knocked the power out. Waited a bit for it to die down and i start the computer up again.
I get the "Windows was shut down improperly...blah blah blah...." and i choose to start windows normally (Using Vista 64 bit). I see the green bars as windows is loading and my keyboard and mouse light up as if the OS is booting when BAM!...i get the BSOD.
So i shut it down and try and boot into safe mode. Says loading all the files, working perfectly. Then i see the ginormous mouse icon known from safe mode's low resolution and the screen goes off, comes back on, and BAM BSOD again. i tried for about 2 hours adjusting bios settings and everything to get things working to no avail, as every time i restart the ocmputer or try to do anything, i get the BSOD no matter how i choose to load. Whether safe mode, safe mode with networking/command prompt, last known good configuration, or loading normally it all starts windows with a BSOD before i even see my desktop.
I'm not sure how to tackle this as theres so many topics of BSODs on google that i'm lost. Should i reformat the hard drive? Reinstall Vista? Just wanted to check in the tech forums before taking any sort of course of action.
What was after the "0x000000F4". Could be a hardware problem or a driver problem with your video card. But try and see what it says after the "0x000000F4". Remember, you are also using fista. ;)
