ds fire card won't open up

I've had i 16gb fire card for a few months and it's worked fine but now when I try to open up the fire card the top screen just says 'list file' but nothing else happens. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. It's my daughters ds and she was hoping to take it on our holidays this saturday.
