NEED HELP with ps2 50001 removing tray

Well I decided to finally get a swap magic, and it's in the mail as we speak, but I have no clue how to get the front tray off the cd thing. I found a couple guides, but they're all for a different type of ps2 because mine doesnt have a screw in the bottom corner. I found a thread on here from 04 that says just to pop it off but I need it a little more detailed.

If it doesn't have a screw at the bottom corner - like you say then there should be areas where it is hooked on so try searching for little "hook-in-thingys."

if ur having trouble removing ur front tray cover. mine as well get a fliptop for it. its alot easier if u dont know wat ur doing

This original post was from a month ago, but seeing you guys answered it, I will add this.
On a V9 PS2 you can either remove the screw that's behind the "P" symbol on the front of the tray
Or you can unclip the sides and it should come off.

I ended up just breaking a little plastic thing off. No biggie. Everything works fine and i don't care that it looks like crap so it's all good
