I opened up my slim ps2 to clean the lens and I tore the ribbon...I figured. Then the small white piece came off that utilizes the on/off switch. I tried to solder it back on, but no success...So now I have a PS2 with no way to turn it on.

I've got her opened and 8 pins are exposed where the ribbon went in..I've tried to use a small screw driver to make them connect, but I can't get her to power up....

Is there anyway around the power switch on the motherboard to get the unit running ?

Thanks in advance....

Gary
