We purchased a Sony Projection Screen HDTV model# 50A2000 and loved it. However after about a year the screen became really dark to the point of having to put brightness and contrast as high as possible to even see it. We now find out that because we smoke, the mirrors are all dirty. We got an approved technician and he cleaned it but it is not much better. He claims that the cleaning at this point will only improve it minimally. HELP does anybody know what else we can do? or have any constructive suggestions?

well you know you shouldn't smoke so i won't go there lol.

I have the same set other than mines the 60" model.most likely the bulb needs replaced ,they go bad in a number of months sometimes or yours was defective. this should be the correct bulb ?
