There are some DVDs whose main title exceeds 4.7 GB when I try to rip them using DVD Decrypter. However, I see the VOBs for the same movies (and from the same source) on certain sites that are 4.7 GB or less. How do these people rip them so small? I'm assuming they use a different program, of course, but VOBs are VOBs. They should still be the same size, no?

Anyone want to enlighten me? TIA.

They have probably been re-encoded and compressed using DVDShrink or another similar program.
