I install duox-2's and I've always been satisfied with them. I don't even know where to find aladin chips so I've never used them but I would assume they are pretty much the same. Maybe someone else who's installed or uses an aladin chip can comment?

XBOX Halo Ed. = DuoX2 w/250gb HD
Xbox 360 Red Elite 120GB HDD = no-stealth 1.6 & XBReboot V3 & 1TB usb hdd
PS2 Slim = freemcboot v1.8 - PSP Black Slim = 5.00m33-6
Wii = w/ Blue XCM ii-case, Wiikey2 & softmodded

aladdin chips are pretty scarce.. not much info about them anywhere, which is as good a reason to avoid them as anything.

All the others are much the same, except the xecuter3 with it's multiple bios banks. Useful if you want to boot a different OS with the flick of a switch.

Why not just do a softmod?

Personally for me chipping is easier when it comes to upgrading hard drives. I don't have a set up where I can run xbhdm with the comp I have and I don't have problems with the soldering. The aladin chip may have more soldering involved if you have to do the lpc rebuild which you have to do with 1.6's regardless of which chip you install.

Unless of course you want to use the slightly unreliable xapter solderless thingy with an xecuter 2 or 3. Never mind the price, think about the convenience XD

I have both versions of it and an xecuter 2.6 with normal and 1.6 bios on each bank for the repairs that come through the door from time to time... way easier than messing about with hotswapping and stuff.. A 10 minute error16 or 7 or 21 fix.. and all for £10. (error7 same price if they bring a working hdd ;)
