PS2 Disc Wont Spin?

hello,as title says really.. i put the disc in shut the lid and for some reason now it does not spin,sort of makes a sound of which you think its going to spin but nothing happens.. any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

disc drive gone. time to look for the warranty :-)

Hi I had the same problem with mine so I opened it and did some testing on mine it was the the back sensor, it was not being pushed down when the lid was shut so you have to find a way to keep it down check out the straw soft mode method it might help you.
