Hey, i have an amilo pro laptop running xp pro and Linux 8.04 on a dual boot system. My pc has a Via Chrome 9 IC HGP graphics chip. Linux does not allow me to use the 3d visual desktop effects, i get the error message "Desktop effects could not be enabled" (or something close)

could somone please shed light on this and give me a solution to this problem, thanks
