I'm trying to use Avi2Dvd to change my Mkv files to dvd files and it works fine but I am not getting the subtitles after converting it to dvd. I though the subtitles would copy over automatically but I guess not. Using Mkvextractgui I extracted the subtitle file when I extract I get one txt. chapters file and another ass. file which has same name as video. The file needs to be srt to be able to manually import into avi2dvd so what should I do? and how?

I am still a noob at this hopefully I figure it out.

Load the .ass file in Subtitle Workshop.
'Save as' and select 'Subrip' as the output type.

Select the last stable version.
