I bought a psp off ebay... with 100 games on dvd...
everything was working fine and I was happily dragging the games on to the memory stick and playing them
Until...
I bought a couple of new games from hmv...
when I put them in the psp it said, new system softwear needed to play game, up date now... so I said yes without thinking and followed the step by step...
my psp is now upgraded to v3.5 However I cant play the v1.3 games...
Well this problem has answered a bilion of times- you have updated your custom firmware to an official one- you can go to custom firmware just with Pandora battery and magic memory stick- to make them you need your battery and your MEM stick- try to google that two stuff.
Ok a psp has an operating system called firmware. To play dowloaded games you need a special firmare called custom frimware. It seems that you have upgraded from your custom frimware to an original sony firmware. Now u have to install custom firmware again to be able to play downloaded games again.
To downgrade (and get a custom firmware) or unbrick your PSP, you need the Pandora's Battery. There is three ways to get the Pandora Battery.
1. Find a someone who has a Custom Firmware that is willing to let you borrow their psp. You will use their psp to softmod the battery. Meaning using software to make the Pandora. If you willing to do this, follow this guide:
GUIDE
2. Hardmod the battery. Meaning that you have to open that battery up, and pulling out a pin. Note that if you pull the wrong one, your battery would be messed. If you are willing to do this, follow this guide
GUIDE
3. The most safest way, is to buy a premade pandora battery from the internet (use google or ebay). If so, follow this guide or use the same guide on the second step. I recommend buying fromDealExtremefor $10.
