I've been looking for a small camcorder capable of recording well in low light conditions and at night time. After reading praises of the Flip Mino and watching its sample recordings (there's a great one on Youtube, recorded at night in Canada, showing a far-away street; almost everything is visible very clearly and the quality is sharp), I thought it would be the one to go for, even though I was very much put off by its simplistic features and the fact that it can't use memory cards.

But now I've found this - Vivitar DVR560G. It seems very interesting, all of its listed features are obviously much better than the Flip's, and if I knew how it records in low light (and at night), I would know which to choose. Has anyone had experience with this camcorder?

(Oh, and another question: does anyone know what codec it uses and how its battery performs, how much footage it could record on one charging? As I I understand it, the Flip Mino uses XVid and records 1 hour when fully charged...)
