Ok this is what I want to do.

I have a pc that is connected to the internet via a dsl modem.

I want to share that internet wirelessly with another pc (actually a pc/mac partitioned laptop).

I got this to work perfectly a few months back, but then bought a new router which recently has not been working right. I think I can fix it, but in the meantime I only have internet on one computer and need it on my laptop until I can get my router sorted out.

The problem is that my laptop cannot see any network coming from my main pc sharing the internet. I have been able to create a network on my laptop (mac), and then connect to that with my main pc's wireless card, but no internet got shared.

Whats going on? The last time I did this all I did was chose the network wizard, chose the "this computer connects to the internet and other pcs access it through this pc" and it automaticaly shared the internet and created the network that my 2nd pc (laptop could see and connect to). But now it doesn't see anything at all.

Any suggestions?

I bridged my lan and wireless card connections but that did nothing.
