Picture not in middle of screen

Whenever I play on my ps2, the picture is always pushed to the left of screen and parts of the picture cannot be seen. I can adjust this in the options of some games, but most of them dont have that option. Is there anything that I can do?

there might be a configuration within the console's bios which has been changed.

I dont remember the ps2 ever having that feature. Were you using downloaded backups?. Maybe you have a PAL game patched to NTSC. What you have is usually the result of a patched game.

I dont use backups anymore, and I play games off hdloader through mcboot. And even the screen for the exploit and everything else like the elfs and elf launcher also have the same problem.

I have a PAL ps2 and I have tried putting in a PAL legitimate game but the result is the same. I think it might be the tv that I'm using because its fairly old.
