Spying on someone's cell phone?

Is there any way to be able to monitor someone else's cell phone that is not a smart phone? Such as having copies of incoming and outgoing texts sent to an email address or another phone, anything like that?

I know there are a couple of programs out there that you can install on a smart phone to track this, but how about a regular phone like an LG Chocolate (VX8500) or another phone.

Any ideas?

There is spy software for nokia, but as i know, no spy software for LG. Take a look at Nokia spy
The spy software for nokia can only spy on phone calls.
