Hi to all. Have a Digivox 2007 all very up to date with latest firmware etc,the nephew has one as well but it has an old firmware on it. Was thinking of cloning his one from mine, but dunno how to do it. Was looking for a thread on this and the nearest I came to was a post reply by Cactikid in April
" good box with info, user setup ok sw transfer select code, second box null modem connected and on,move it away from good box or turn it away, first box click to transfer and u should it it transfering when finished both boxes reboot "
Can someone/Cactikid explain a little clearer how to go about cloning? Have a fair idea but still not 100% sure.

Thanks in advance..

ok ur box hooked up to tv with null modem connected, connect 2nd box with null modem and cable and face the front of box away from you.u power up both boxes, aim remote at ur box only, not at the second one.
press menu-user setup-s/w transfer code sw [ firmware ]- ok-ok file should start transfer.when finished both boxes will reboot.if u need to send channel data [ tv stations ]s/w transfer change code sw to channel data-ok-ok file transfer and reboots.u may disconnect cables now as u have done a transfer box to box,

Hey Cactikid,
appreciate the swift reply on this. He's just dropped it over tonite so I'll let ya know how I get on. No lose situation really 'cos if it don't work I can just reflash it.

Thanks again mate, much appreciated.

Cheers..

Sorry for no update, he never dropped box over. Just as a further query ( sorry for being a pain in the a**) but what exactly is the latest firmware for the Digivox? My box is currently on digivox_z20070101_v4000_api.bin and I've also downloaded digivox_z20070101N2_v2800_2api.bin so really just wanna know which is the latest so if I need to update/flash me own box before I clone his.

Cheers..

vers 2.800 allows user to move channels around and numbers start 1,2,3 etc. vers.4 scans in channels same as original box [ cc ] but u cannot rearrange order of channels.and numbers start 101,102,103 etc.

Got it. Really appreciate the info Cacti. AD rocks as far as forums go. Proper info and no smart ass BS comments like I found on some other ones I signed up for, so thanks to all the contributors on here. I'll flash with v 2.800 and then clone it. All the best.
