Ok I will try to give you as much info as possible.
I've got a samsung hl-r5667w high def tv and a motorola comcast digital cable box. The picture size is perfect(it fills the entire screen with no cropping or being too big) when i use the component cables. I bought an dvi to hd cable earlier and hooked everything up and no matter what i do the pictue is cropped at the left and right sides. I've furiously looked through the settings on both the cable box and the tv but i could find no option to change the res or stretch the picture. when ii go into the 'pictue' option of my television i get an option to change the size from 16:9 to 4:3(when i have the component cables i have 3 extra options: zoom, zoom2, and panorama). believe it or not that is the only option that has anything to do with screen size. cable box only has a setting to move(center the picture position). I am lost do i need to add new firmware or something??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
