I'm trying to get ftp access to my xbox and all of the forums i've been reading havent been much help so i decided to start my own thread. I have a pc with windows xp hooked up with a straight through ethernet cable to the second port of my airport extreme. I then have my xbox hooked up to the first port of my airport extreme with a crossover cable (note: i have used this crossover cable through the airport with my xbox 360 and xbox live worked, and i know everyone will say a crossover cable should not work with a router but it does in my case for some reason. this crossover cable also gave me internet access from the router to my pc one stage so i know it works.)with this setup i have been trying to gain access to my xbox. from pc-straightthroughethernet- to -airportextreme- to -crossover-xbox. I'm not sure why its not working (using flashfxp). My PC's IP is also different to that of on most forums, it is 10.0.1.198 and my xbox's is 192.168.0.2 (note: when i try to change my xbox's IP on evox the part where it lets me change it changes but the blue text above doesn't, 'confused'. What do i need to do to get it all working. Thx. Note i am a complete newbie at all this.
