PS2 Slim trouble with PS1 Backup Exploit

I have a PS2 slim, SCPH75001, and I'm trying to do the softmodding exploit via CD-R and the fact that PS1 Backups can be played by simply swapping disks between the initial PS2 Browser and the Original PS logo that shows up (The black screen with the PS logo.) I have tape and tissue modded the PS2 slim.

I KNOW that I can play backup PS1 games with this method, because I tried that first. So I know that the PS2 is capable of reading and playing CD-Rs. However, when I put in the PS1 exploit disk (made via PS2 Exploit Utility), when it goes to the black PS logo screen, it makes the sound, but all it says is playstation. No logo, and it won't load.

Does anyone have experience with PS1 Exploit Disk Swapping. I need a way to mod a PS2 WITHOUT buying anything. I have a legit memory card and many USB drives if that helps.

you're not going to get anywhere without a cheating disc or swap magic. you CANNOT do the browser swap on the slim; only v9 ps2 can do that.

but the browser swap works for PS1 backups that are identical to real PS1 games AKA I made an exact CD-R copy of my games and they work with the browser swap. There's no way to trick the PS2 into thinking it's a legit game? You'd think if it's just files there'd have to be a way.

you cannot make exact 1:1 copies. original games are pressed discs from the factory. that's what determines an original from a copy.

the browser swap works only on v9 because there was a security flaw in that model.

i still dont think you understand what im saying. I CAN play backup ps1 games on my ps2 using the browser swap. I've done it.

My question is how to get a "fake" game to work.

there are no "fake" games.

the exploit installer disc MUST USE swap magic or a cheating device with cogswaploader. it is not a ps1 game in any way.
