Hello I have a question I've been trying to burn a copy of Heroes Season 2 Disc 2 with DVD FAB 5.0.8.5 version I've tried Disc 3 no problem, however everytime I place Disc 2 again and open my program, DVD Fab tries to open it and then closes automatically with no warning. Please help I have no idea what to do next. Maybe you can tell me any other programs other than FAB or a way to fix my problem thank you in advance for your time, peace out.
P.S Tried a older version of Fab and it opened but stopped ripping 1/4 of the way and gave me this error message
Task_1 failed! Error=102(VTS_01_2.VOB 855406592 401408)
I hope this helps thanks

Try the New Beta, You Have nothing to lose.
Also the error maybe a read error.
You May want to try using ripit4me
or even ANYDVD

Agreed. The 4 new releases I bought this week were processed easily thru dvdfab 5.0.8.8 beta.

I've tried all of these options and have not made any progress
First DVD Fab Beta wouldn't open the Disc
Second Ripit4me got close but no tomatoes only got to 77% progress and game me this lovely message

Interpretation:Unrecovered Read Error
An AnyDVD just gave me message that it failed to read the disc, said it is dirty, damaged or that I need to get new firmware but I have the most recent one for my drive.
It might be time for me to get a new burner but I feel this one works maybe its the disc itself but there are no scratches on it. It might be one of those one in a million discs that have slight reading error contained, I don't know
Any other ideas? Berryone
I truly appreciate any other usefull info u have at your disposal or any one else that might have the answer to this crazy problem I'm having Thanks

You can still try to wipe the disk from center out with a soft cloth. That may help.
If not, then u may have a 'bad press', which is more common these days. Then you need to exchange it for another one, and that may solve your problem.

Sony DVD RW DRU 8-10A 1.0f
* This is an older Burner, you may want to check for a firmware update.
* Try Using ripit 1 more time (after a good cleaning as RTM Suggest)
* Then try Exchanging the Disc SET
* Try Cleaning the Laser
* Try Using a Friends Burner.
* If all these things Fail NEW Burner

Thanks for the suggestions Berryone and rtm27 I appreciate your help on my problem I just went to exchange for the same disc and it worked just fine. So I can save my lucky pennies on a newer computer eventually, I really don't have the money to buy new burner. Again thanks

Anytime. The only problem all the programs seem to have with are bad presses. It's the only thing that seems to slow us down from ripping when we buy the dvd's. Good to hear it's fixed now.
Keep burning.
