Hey all, I have a Compaq Presario computer and according to device manager, have a HL-DT-ST-DVDRRW GSA H30L Ata device. I can burn/rip CD's with it, it can read game discs, installion DVD's and any other disc I throw at it apart from DVD movies. I have installed Codecs, used 4 different types of player and nothing. It doesn't even show up that the disc is being recognized when I try to explore it in My Computer. The disc is fine as it plays perfectly with no problems on my laptop.

Could this be a problem with software or hardware? I am using Windows Vista Home Premium on my PC but my laptop is on Windows XP. I have tried Windows Media Player, VLC Player and Nero to try and recognize the discs but nothing.

Any help at all would be appreciated as its annoying the hell out of me why I cant watch DVD films on my computer.

Thanks.
