I recently moved into an apartment in Dublin, on the TV I could get what looks like NTL basic package without paying anything for it, sky one, discovery, living, BBC ect..
So I invested in a Eurovox box and although its great to have a few extra tv stations most of them are unwatchable with jumping and stuttering, even if I re-scan i will only pick up about 100 channels and most of them too jumpy or just no signal
Does anybody know if that because of the situation with having an unconfirmed NTL connection remaining in the apartment.
Bad communal connections are bad enough, but an unsubscribed one is worse. You cant exactly call and complain. Have you tried it with the booster on in the Eurovox?
Yeah i have tried it with the booster turned on, thats actually why i upgraded to the eurovox (booster feature) as i had originally had the starview box and the problem never got better.
So it looks like my fears are true, the unsubscribed cable is causing the problem? Do you think if i call and get an official N*L Cable connection i could enjoy a more perfect eurovox reception?
It would, although as said apartment connections are bad enough. You could try an external booster, but if your signal is too strong you may need an attenuator.
