NEC_3550A - 4x only option - DMA enabled - FIXED

I recently did a re-format and now my Nec drive is only seen by nero and Imgburn as a 4x drive.

I looked in my bios and the DMA is set to auto.

Device manager sets the DMA to bios and its grayed out with Ultra333.

I really dont know whats going on...

This is 16x Memorex 4.7Gb Disc, Nero Disc info = RITEK F16 4x max

My old discs were also 16x Memorex 4.7Gb Discs, but Nero Disc info=CMC something 12x max

Why does my drive not support the 16x memorex is stating?

download the latest firmware because the NEC does not recognize the media.
