Hi,
Has anyone downloaded this emulator?
I downloaded this and it has over 1000 roms but i cant get it to work... i keep getting the 'game could not be started' error.
I have placed the two folders DGEN and DGEN% in the GAME150 folder.. all the roms are in the DGEN folder..
what am i doing wrong?
i'm running the custom firmware 3.90 m33
thanks

Do you have a fat or slim PSP?
If you have the slim you need to download the emulater for v1.0 firmwares.
If you have a fat, try going into recovery mode and changing your kernal to 1.50 (if you have the 1.50 kernal installed).

yeah sound like you cant even run the emulator, ibizagti is correct, sounds like you need the 1.50 Kernel installed, once installed make sure to enable it in the recovery menu (Hold down "R" while starting up the PSP, make sure it is not in sleep mode) aside from that mine is also in the Game 150 folder, so it should work just fine for ya!

ok,
gone into the recovery mode and i dont have a clue... i cant find anything that allows me to install 1.50 kernel... how do i install it? do i need to download it?
Also my psp will only go into recovery mode if i take out the battery and put it back in and switch it on(holding R down).
anyway i can change it so that i dont have to take out the battery?
thanks

If you had used the search, you would have found THIS easily.
To go to recovery mode without taking out the battery, hold the power switch up for around 5-10 seconds (untill all the lights stop flashing), the let go. Now switch the PSP back on whilst holding down the R trigger button.

When you downloaded the emulator, what folders were they?
If there are only DGEN and DGEN%, try placing them directly into your PSP\GAME folder.
Where did you download the emu, as i have never heard of them being packaged with ROM's as you describe.
As i don't have a fat, I am not 100% sure on the in's and out's of how the 1.50 kernel works.

I also suggest that you Overclock yer PSP to 333/166 (Both CPU Clock XMB & CPU Clock Game). You can do this by entering the M33 VSH Menu, while yer on the main screen where you see your System, Photo, Music, Video, Game, Network Icons, Hit the select button. Use up and down on the D-Pad to select what you want to alter, and use left & right on the D-pad to alter it....try that!

Argus mate,
On the main menu, a list of all games is shown... at the top there are options such as roms, state list, settings, systems etc etc
You can flick through these options by pressing the L or R button..
This is where i get the lag.. if i flick through the options, it crashes and after a couple of minutes it gives me the control again.. it happens a lot if i go into the state list and system options.. why is that?

very strange problem......I dont think I've seen (or heard of) that before. I know there are different versions of DGEN do you have the "Lite" version? I own a Phat PSP and one of my buddies has a Slim PSP like you, I put on my Phat PSP and I couldnt even get it working. So I went online and did a bit of research and found that there are two different versions of the emulator.....one for Phat the other for Slim. Can you tell me where exactly where you put your DGEN File? (In what folder?) and where you stuck the roms....my little brother got a slim and he sent it to me for CFW as well he got the all white PSP (Star Wars version, but its a slim) when I get his up and going this weekend I'll let ya know!
