Problem with Bangai-O Spirits

For some reason, I cannot get my Bangai-O SPirits to play using my R4. I have the latest firmware for the R4 (1.18) and am using a Kingston 2GB micro SD.

Whenever I load the game, I get a white screen and an error message that says: "Failed to access save data. Please turn power OFF and re-insert the Game Card". I've tried deleting the game and .sav file from my SD card and then copying the game back onto the SD card, but I keep getting the same error message. None of my other games have gotten this message.

Does anyone know what is wrong or how to fix this?

have u tried re downloading the file? if so you may have to patch it with dldi

I've tried redownloading, and getting different versions (Euro vs US). All of them give me the same error message. Is there a way around patching Dldi? I'm not really familiar with that stuff.

Has no one else had this problem with this game?
