I'm retired, 73 yrs , jazz collectors and trading colectibles around the world.
I had been using for last 10 yrs HP882C to print cd & dvds with sheet labels. On Dec. 28th,2007 I bought RX680 which I used for other purposes except printing cd & dvd since I had many HP cartridges left. Last week HP882C died on me. So I reverted, very enthousiastically to RX680 to get the best !!!!
FYI, am suing either Epson Print cd or SureThing softwares. But nothing works insofar as printing a cd ( using the printable cd which was in the printer box upon purchase-also tried other printable cd & dvd) . The tray goes in the slot and I make sure the arrows are aligned I check the setting with manual of instructions from the web) and I've tried over 40 times . Nothing is printed. Then I called Epson from Montreal to Toronto 3 times ( the bill will be about 50$ next month) The first lady made a complete exercise about 15 minutes and she concluded that it could be a defective tray. So she is going to mail me another one. I called again the same day to speak to another lady to give her my proof of invoice and the Ref. number she had me waiting for over 15 minutes. I hung up. arrrrrg ! I called again and asked for a supervisor, he had me doing another exercise which was concluded like the first one and he said he would mail me a tray
Same day, I went to Bureau En Gros (subsidiary of Staples) and compared my tray to a new unit = IDENTICAL
I should be getting the new tray tomorrow or the day after but I doubt this is the issue !
I'v e had just enough of this merry go round and expenses- Please Help.. dunno if the protocol allows but i could insert my email address in this message and arrange to forward screenshots of all my settings to anyone who would be so kind to help me out
Thanks for your assistant

I don't use the RX680 but R300 and Epson Print cd. What are your Settings in Epson Print cd? I have to use
1 Manual
2 A4
3 cd/dvd
4 Photo
5 Photo Enhance
This May even be in the Printer Options. (I'm Not At My Computer)Then I always make sure Tray 2 is selected

Those trays are easily worn. mine I have to assisit in moving in after i align it. I Hope this Helps

Try renistalling the printer from the installation cd. I heard there are issues with Vista. Good luck!
