First off, I did NOT call PQ tech support as the error message suggests. About 75% of the time I can't understand those people and they can't seem to understand me, either.
In case anyone still uses PQ 8.0 like me, and has come across that dreaded error 626 "...not visible from boot-mode", here's how I fixed the problem.
It's so simple and worked in my case I'm surprised I have not found it anywhere on the net. First off, let me just say that I was trying to restore a backup of Windows XP from a USB external hard drive and got the error. After having fought with this problem for weeks, and being very tired of the rescue disks taking hours and hours to restore (yes, I play around a lot with my computer), I simply hid the partition on the external drive, using PQ Magic 8.0, and then copied it to unallocated space on the hd (C drive) while still in windows. It didn't have to reboot and go into DOS to do it, either.
