ROM not working on M3 DS simply?

I have downloaded a Japanese ROM, but it does not work on my M3 DS simply. I can see the little icon and title of the game, but if I start it, it shows a screen with Japanese text that I can't skip.
The game loads and plays fine on no$gba so it's really just a problem of my M3. Other games load and play just fine.

Anyone else gets this problems and/or knows what to do to fix it?
