So I downloaded this japanese movie and it had separate subtitle files for it. When I play the movie on my computer it plays with the subtitles but when I burn it the subtitles aren't there. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this problem ?

The burning program I'm using is Nero and it doesn't have the subtitle option on it. I tried re encoding it and putting the subtitle files with the movies but it wouldn't put the files on them. I'm pretty sure theirs a way to do it I just don't know how. Cuz it plays them on my computer.

Is this an avi with a separate srt file? You should be able to add the with DVD Flick, convert and burn.

Thank you very much I downloaded the program and I'm converting the files right now. That was exactly what my problem was. You hit the nail right on the head. Thank you so much.

So new question. I know I may sound dumb but after I re encoded it it downloaded with a bunch of folders and stuff I don't know of. It had a bunch of info files and audio and video ts folders. Do I burn all the video files or just a couple of them?

Open the VIDEO_TS folder with Imgburn in Build mode and burn to your DVD.

This might be another dumb question but will it burn the subtitles on there cuz I watched some of the videos in the video ts folder and they didn't have the subtitles on them. I'm probably bein worried about nothin I know I just want to make sure before I waste a disc on somethin that doesn't work ya know. Also I've appreciated all the help I've gotten so far. I just wanted you to know that.:)
