I have no idea what's wrong but every now and then the internet is really slow, takes a few minutes to just load a page and i can't play online or anything. It's been getting more frequent now than before. Sometimes it works as normal but sometimes it's too slow to be able to do anything. I have a router, and i have 2 pc:s and one xbox 360 connected. I noticed something though, when i turn off the main computer it starts working again, at normal speed, for some reason. I have no idea what to do, so can somebody please help?

I'm no expert, but I had that problem and there could be something wrong with your router, it may be your settings or something. What I did though was I bought a TRENDnet Wireless-N Router. I bought it for I think $90 and it's down to $55 with free shipping on that link. It was like night and day everything worked fast and perfectly. Before I couldn't even play Xbox Live or use any other computer if the main one was on, but this fixed everything.

when your internet access is down go to start\run, type in "cmd" and hit enter. Once the commad box comes up type "ping www.google.com", if you dont get a reply it probably means your modem has crashed and needs to reboot\refresh.

Modem crashes are usually due to too many incoming connections at once. P2P, torrents and large online game servers are often the main cause. what are you doing exactly when your internet falls off? and what sort of modem are you using?

Also, check your modems event viewer and see if there's any errors reported.
