I've just upgraded to Vista x64, and i've noticed that with my 2gb of ddr2 800, it's a little more sluggish than x86. So, i am going to upgrade my memory.
However, i don't know which way to go. ATM, i have 2 x 1gb sticks of value ram, in dual channel.
Should i get another two sticks of value ram for 4gb. Or, should i get some Corsair TwinX CS4 ram, 2 x 1gb, and put it in with the value, until i can afford another two Corsair sticks?
Vista 64-bit can use more than 2GB of RAM even at idle. If 4GB of RAM is all you'll need, get another 2x1GB, if you forsee potentially using more than 4GB later on, which could potentially happen, then swap your current 2x1GB for 2x2GB sticks, and then aim to get another 2x2GB later.
Reliability and guaranteed compatibility. Buy Corsair stuff, doesn't really matter what version it is, though CAS4 stuff would be better, it's not essential.
