I used DVD decrypter to copy the dvd, then used DVD2one to strip the files and finally burned it with nero. It plays fine on my pc but when I put it in my dvd player (which plays all regions etc)it recognises it's a dvd but refuses to play it, why? can anyone help?

Are you using media and methods known to work in your stand alone?

My killer sig came courtesy of bb "El Jefe" mayo.

Hi Danzibar,

I've burnt an awful lot of DVD's and this particular scenario has happened to me but once. If your standalone DVD player has played your burns before.. then it is probably your media. Some DVD players are finicky and this could be such a situation. The one time that it happened to me ..I was able to burn another blank.. and then it worked.

More often than not... if you get playback abnormalities.. it's probably the media.

Please keep in mind that some older standalones... have difficulties playing DVD burns and some may not play them at all.

Regards,
CK

My DVD player is pretty new. You say it could be the media, I used a DVD+R would a DVD-R be more compatable?
